Recipe: Paneer Makhani

PANEER MAKHANI

A good way to use the homemade cheese. Serves 1. People who love Butter Chicken will love this too.

Ingredients

  • 120 g Paneer cheese
  • 100 ml double cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 300 ml tomato sauce
  • 1 g clove of garlic
  • 1 g small piece of ginger
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander
  • 1/4 tsp chili
  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 g salt and pepper

chop garlic and ginger. Cut the cheese into bite size cubes.

melt the butter in a pan and add garlic, ginger, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds and garam masala, saute for 2 min, add the cheese and salt and pepper. When the cheese is warmed, get it out and set aside.

pour in the tomato sauce and all the spices and cook until the tomato sauce thickens a bit, add the cream and stir well, add the cheese cubes and warm them again. Finish with coriander and serve either with Naan bread or Basmati rice
