Recipe: Cinnamon-Coconut Bostock Toast 'soldiers'

CINNAMON-COCONUT BOSTOCK TOAST 'SOLDIERS'

Admittedly, this recipe sounds really strange. Still, think of bread, encrusted with a mildly sweet coconut outside, dusted with cinnamon, to dip in hot cocoa. Ideal for the cold season upon bless our warm toes.

Ingredients

  • 1 slice bread
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp coconut butter (other nut butters are also fine)

Mix

Combine coconut butter, salt and maple syrup until well mixed.

SPREAD

Spread

Preheat oven to 170c. Spread mix evenly on both sides of the bread. Sprinkle cinnamon on before placing on a piece of parchment paper and baking for 12-15 minutes. Slice and dip into hot cocoa. Enjoy.
