Recipe: Stovetop Granola

STOVETOP GRANOLA

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup oats
  • ¼ cup almonds
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp pepitas
  • ¼ cup raisins
MIX

Step 1

Mix

in a bowl, stir the oat grains, raisins, almonds, pepitas together.

POUR

Step 2

Pour

heat up a pan over low heat and melt the butter and maple syrup. once the butter is melted, give it a quick stir before pouring in the oat mixture and continue stirring gently a couple of times to ensure the mixture is evenly coated.

COOK

Cook

let the oats toast gently, approx. 6-8 minutes, giving it a stir every minute or so.

once a toasted fragrance is emitted (you'll know what I'm talking about when you're in the kitchen), turn off the heat and let the granola cool for 10 minutes or so, until cool to the touch. gently, remove it from the pan in clusters and either enjoy immediately or store in an airtight jar for later consumption
