Recipe: Instant Chocolate Fig Muesli


Sweet and crispy with a hint of bitterness - made on the stove within 10 minutes.


  • 1 tbsp silvered almonds
  • pinch of salt
  • ½ cup oats
  • 2 dried figs
  • 2 squares dark chocolate
  • 1 tsp honey; optional

Step 1


In a nonstick pan over low heat, melt the chocolate with salt. Pour in the oats and almonds, stirring the mixture evenly and lowering the heat to very low. Toast for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally until a nutty fragrance is emitted. Chop up the figs into quarters and fold into the muesli. Serve warm over yogurt, or with milk. Enjoy. *for vegans, ensure that the chocolate used is vegan. As for gluten free diets, ensure that oats used are processed in a mill that is gluten free.
