THE BRAND:
At Kaoba we upcycle discarded cacaofruit into a refreshing, great-tasting soda - supporting farmers, reducing waste and bringing a first-of-its-kind drink to market.
When we learned that 70% of cacaofruit is discarded after cacao bean production (that goes on to be yummy chocolate), creating 10 million metric tonnes of waste annually, we saw an opportunity. Hidden in the pulp was a naturally sweet, nutrient-packed juice, inspiring our mission to transform waste into something extraordinary. When a byproduct tastes this good, how could we not act?
At Kaoba, ethical sourcing is at the heart of everything we do. By working directly with cacao farmers, we ensure fair practices that support their livelihoods. Every can of Kaoba not only reduces waste but also helps build a more sustainable and equitable future for the cacao industry.
